Project Overview

This is a 2×660 MW imported coal based thermal project which is being developed in two phases of 1×660 MW (super-critical) each and has a Cost plus Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) tied up with the state utility companies for the first phase (1×660 MW). For the Second Stage, it is proposed to operate as a merchant power plant.

Suitability of site
Load Centre, near PGIL 400 Kv grid substation near Hassan.
Already alloted by KIADB and advance paid by HTPL for 605 acres of land adequate for the Project. The land is close to Hassan- Mysore BG line, 10 km from Hassan.
